Sample strong answer

Research before every interview — it's non-negotiable.

Example structure: 'You're [core business description]. You serve [primary customers] by [core value proposition]. In terms of what you're building, I've been following [specific product launch or initiative] closely — [specific thing that impressed you].

I also saw your recent [funding round / partnership / article] — that signals to me that you're moving in [direction]. Your approach to [specific thing] is genuinely different from [competitor], and I think it's the right call because [reason].

On the culture side, I read [specific blog post or interview with founder/leader] and [specific thing resonated with you] really resonated. That's the kind of environment where I do my best work.'
